This was a concept that felt rushed to me. The New U was supposed to be "the world outside your window," but it started out with this whole extradimensional rigamarole. Once PAD took over, and Tensen was revealed to be a paranormal, I really dug it. The original concept could have been cool somewhere else. Also, I loved that PAD used Tensen in the 2099 books

I think that's a fair analysis, displacedparanormal. Those early issues did feel rushed.

Many of the New Universe titles seemed rushed to me. Almost like Shooter was in a hurry to get titles out before the Marvel execs changed their mind and pulled the plug on the whole thing.
